In order to create a welcoming community environment, the TPS Parents' Committee sponsors a variety of events that enable parents the opportunity to interact with faculty, administration, and students.
Committee members promote programs that foster a sense of community, provide hands-on volunteer service, and promote fund-raising efforts that fulfill its commitment to faculty professional development, school equipment needs, and enrichment programs for students.
All TPS parents are invited and encouraged to attend Parents' Committee meetings. These meetings provide a forum for the headmaster, assistant heads, and advancement director to relate school wide planning updates, school news, and reports on its programs.
The Executive Committe of the 2007-08 Parents' Committee is headed by President Tracy Gurda. Elena Yordan is Vice-President and Phyllis Perry will return as Secretary. Parents are billed a small dues fee that covers the cost of classroom parties and other minor class/school-oriented events.
